Supreme Court to Rule on NDC vs Attorney General and E.C. on 23/06/2020

The Supreme Court on June 23, 2020 will rule on the National Democratic Congress’s case challenging the exclusion of the existing voter ID cards from the list of documents needed to register to vote in the 2020 general elections.

The NDC argued that the Court by its own ruling and decision has made it clear that the existing voter ID is proof of one citizenship as a Ghanaian and cannot phantom why the EC is seeking to go contrary to that decision and it is clear that until now that decision has not been overturned.

Early morning on Thursday 11/06/2020, the Court listened to these legal arguments from the NDC, the Deputy Attorney General and the Electoral Commission.
